Our Mission

Promote, preserve, develop, and expand multiple-use, single-track, and 62" trails on public lands in the Black Hills of South Dakota and the surrounding areas.

Our Method

South Dakota Trails Development Corporation (SDTDC), a 501c3 nonprofit, has raised a significant amount of money over the past eight years through various fundraisers and from numerous donors who wish to see motorized recreation flourish.  SDTDC now receives and reviews grant applications from nonprofit organizations that have trail projects needing funding for completion.

Grant Focus

Our focus is primarily mixed-use (multiple use) or motorized single-track for motorcycles and e-bikes. However, we will consider projects on 62" trail if that trail also serves as a key connector for single-track or has a high interest for ADV motorcycles.

Grant Process

The size and scope of projects can vary widely.  We prefer to review an one-page summary of a proposed project prior to a formal grant request with all the pertinent detail, just to be sure we are aligned on interest and vision.  If you are a 501c3 organization and have a project approved with the USFS or BLM and are now in need of funding, please sent us an email with an overview of what you are looking for.  If it looks like something of interest to us, we'll outline next steps with you.
